Agenda -- Meeting 1, Lifelong Philosophy

Here is the general form of the e-mail I sent out this week --

We will have our first meeting this Friday at the Central Branch of the Lexington Public Library in Conference Room C on the 4th floor.  We will start at 9:30am.

Parking -- There will be 2 hours free parking in the Park Place garage adjacent to the Library.  2 hours should be sufficient for this organizational meeting.  The garage is the second parking entrance in the Library's block of Main Street.  Bring your ticket into the Library's Lobby Information Desk for validation.  If you have any questions, please contact me or the Main OLLI office.

Lifelong Philosophy:                                                                             No Course Fee Facilitator: Jim Carigan, SIG will meet on a bi-weekly basis.  The first meeting will be Friday, January 29 from 9:30-12:00noon.  Limit 25.  We have had two courses (Spring and Fall of 2015) centered on Philosophy as a topic.  In both cases, members expressed a willingness to explore this topic on a less structured, more continuing basis.  The members seem to want to respond more quickly to group ideas about what we should discuss.  We might continue with two ideas that have worked well in the previous courses.  Rotating discussion leadership on special topics, and discussions based on a group common experience such as a movie, a book, a television episode/series, or specific historical events and characters.
